The witness who recorded this says that several people watched these lights, with limited interest, and he was the only person still watching (that he's aware of) when the beam of light emerged.
REALITY: We hired an actor to do the voicing of this clip, and thought a shocked response was appropriate. The lights are, once again, streetlights, composited into the sky. The beam of light is easily created with software.
