FICTIONAL REPORT: 11th July 2006, Springvale South, VIC. One witness.
This clip was shot on a mobile phone. Until now I've had a strict policy of using clips only when I'm provided with a camera-tape. Having an original tape helps verify authenticity (and authorship). When something is shot on a phone, there is no camera tape! With that in mind, mobile-phone clips will be accepted from now on, but I will need to speak to witnesses personally rather than just accepting e-mailed clips.
REALITY: So much footage is shot on mobile phones, that we had to do at least one clip this way. I shot on the HD camera, and then downgraded the quality and frame rate to look like mobile footage. I was shooting background plates when the plane just happend to pass, which some texture to the shot. (All camera shake was added afterwards, as usual).
